At Centillion Networks Private Limited, (hereinafter referred to as “Centillion” or “We/we” or “Us/us”, and shall include its successors and permitted assigns), protecting your private information is our priority.
This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to and governs data collection and usage from you in accordance with Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules 2011 (“SPDI Rules”) under Information Technology Act, 2000 (“IT Act”). The terms ‘Information’, ‘Data’, ‘Personal Information’ and ‘Personal Data’ are used interchangeably under this Privacy Policy and shall have the meaning ascribed to the term ‘Information’ below. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to Centillion include www.centillionnetworks.com (“Platform”).
The term “Information” shall have the meaning as provided under the IT Act and SPDI Rules and shall mean any personally identifiable information including but not limited to name, gender, mobile number, phone number, address, email, date of birth, any identity proof issued by the government such as Aadhaar, PAN Card, employer, job title, location, work experience, educational qualifications, reason for contact, any information which one would usually include in a resume, et cetera. If you are a recruiter company or a university, the term Information shall further include your recruiter/university information including but not limited to name, mobile number, address, email, recruiter company/university PAN, GST number, incorporation documents, about recruiter company/university, et cetera.
The term Information includes ‘Sensitive Personal Data or Information’ as defined under the SPDI Rules which includes, (a) password, (b) financial information such as bank account or credit card or debit card or other payment instrument details, (c) physical, physiological and mental health condition, (d) sexual orientation, (e) medical records and history, (f) biometric information, (g) your current and past remuneration or salary details, (h) any detail provided to Centillion in furtherance to providing services, and (i) any of the information received by Centillion for processing, information stored or processed under lawful contract or otherwise, including the Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, Internet Service Provider (“ISP”) (collectively, the “Information”).
The term “You/you” or “Your/your” or “Yourself/yourself” shall refer to any user accessing the Platform.
APPLICABILITY
This Privacy Policy applies to any (i) user of, or visitor to, the Platform; and (ii) every employee, consultant or other individual or person that has a contractual relationship with Centillion (collectively, “you”, “your” and other cognate expressions).
This Privacy Policy describes the manner in which Centillion collects, uses/processes, stores and discloses or transfers your Information, and the choices you have with respect to the manner in which Centillion ought to be dealing with your Information.
CONSENT
General Consent: By visiting the Platform, or by agreeing to be bound by Centillion’s policies as applicable to you under the terms of your contractual relationship with Centillion, you hereby provide your express consent for Centillion to collect, process, store, disclose, transfer and purge the Information provided by you or collected from you, including any Sensitive Personal Data or Information as defined under the SPDI Rules. Centillion updates this Privacy Policy from time to time. Your continued use of the Platform and your continued contractual relationship with Centillion in any capacity post the changes shall be deemed to be your acceptance of those changes made in this Privacy Policy.
Consent by Minor: Centillion does not knowingly collect personally identifiable Information from minors. If you are under the age of 18 (eighteen), you must seek permission from a parent or guardian to use this Platform. In the event of discovery of incorrect or inadequate Information, Centillion shall have the sole discretion to remove the Information from its system and abstain you from visiting the Platform without any notice.
Employee Consent: Employees of Centillion hereby provide their express consent for Centillion to collect, process, store and use their Sensitive Personal Data Or Information for the purposes of their onboarding requirements and other lawful requirements.
COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION
In order to better provide you with the services offered on the Platform, or in order to effectively administer the contractual relationship that Centillion has with you, Centillion will collect Information that may be personally identifiable to you as defined under this Privacy Policy. You acknowledge that any Information provided by you shall be true, correct, accurate and up to date.
We do not collect any Personal Information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain Personal Information to us when you elect to use certain services available on the Platform, or if it is required for effective management of your employment or other relationship with Centillion. These may include:
- For Platform users: Name, company name, email address and phone number.
- For employees: Name, identification number such as Aadhar/PAN, phone number, personal email address, current address, permanent address, bank details, previous work experience, family details, blood group, medical background and emergency contact.
- For consultants: Name, identification number such as Aadhar/PAN, phone number, email address, current address and bank details.
The Information that you share with Centillion shall be kept strictly confidential. The Information along with all supporting documents submitted by you shall be used for the limited purpose of:
- For Platform users: For rendering services including communication.
- For employees: Background verification, address verification, bank transactions, emergency situations, regulatory requirements and filings, maintenance of records, compliance with applicable law.
- For consultants: Bank transactions, regulatory requirements and filings, maintenance of records, compliance with applicable law.
Centillion shall take all reasonable measures as prescribed under law to prevent unauthorized access and misuse of your Information. However, Centillion shall not be responsible for any such unauthorized access and misuse of your Information by unauthorized persons despite having taken all such measures.
DATA SHARING & DATA ACCESS
1. Centillion shall not use your Information for any purpose other than as set out above.
2. Centillion may disclose or transfer the Information in the following instances:
- to any third party in furtherance of any of the purposes of collection of the Information, as set out above, including but not limited to service providers such payroll and compliance service providers, etc.
- upon serving you a “prior notice”, to its successors or permitted assigns as permitted under law and/or to its subsidiary.
- upon taking your express written “prior consent” and on “need to know” basis, with its business partner in furtherance to providing the services and
- to any judicial, quasi-judicial, regulatory, statutory and/or any government agency pursuant to any legal requirement.
DATA TRANSFER
Centillion may, from time to time, expand or reduce its business and this may involve the sale and transfer of control of all or part of Centillion. The Information provided shall, where it is relevant to any part of the business so transferred, be transferred along with that and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Privacy Policy, be permitted to use the Information for the purposes for which it was originally given to Centillion.
Centillion may also disclose the Information to a prospective purchaser of its business or any part of it. Data may be transferred to or from different jurisdictions and we will take steps to ensure that privacy is protected.
Public Data
- It is clarified that any Information that is freely available or accessible in the public domain or furnished under the Right to Information Act, 2005, or any other law for the time being in force, shall not be regarded as Information for the purposes of IT Act, 2000 and the SPDI Rules.
- Centillion shall not be responsible in any manner of whatsoever nature for any unauthorized use, violation or misuse of such Information.
Data Retention and Storage
- Centillion shall retain your Information for a minimum period of 6 years and/or for such periods as may be prescribed by law from time to time. However, the documents submitted by you shall not be stored by Centillion post the detailed verification process.
- In the event that Centillion is unable to process the Information submitted by you for any reason whatsoever, the same shall be deleted unless otherwise required under law and/or as may be required for any internal or external audit purposes.
- Centillion is committed to complying with applicable laws to ensure that all measures prescribed by law, are taken for storing the Information in order to ensure that such Information is safe and secure.
Data Purging
- Centillion has necessary policies, mechanisms and tools in place to ensure all the Information that is collected and stored is deleted as soon as the purpose as described in this Policy is completed, unless it is mandated by law to be maintained by Centillion.
- Any data destroyed shall be disposed of in a manner that protects the privacy of your Information, in an appropriate manner as per the industry standard practices and norms.
YOUR RIGHTS
1. Centillion shall be happy to make corrections to your Information upon your written request.
2. You have the right to ‘opt out’ of providing Information and may withdraw the ‘Consent’ expressly in writing to [email protected].
DATA SECURITY
1. Centillion has implemented reasonable security practices, standards and procedures, and has a comprehensive documented information security programme and information security policies that contain managerial, technical, operational and physical security control measures that are commensurate with the information assets being protected. Centillion has also obtained the IS/ISO/IEC 27001 on "Information Technology – Security Techniques - Information Security Management System - Requirements" certification.
2. Centillion may collect the following information:
- anonymous data from every visitor of the Platform to monitor traffic and fix bugs which includes (without limitation) information like web requests, the data sent in response to such requests, the Internet Protocol address, the browser type, the browser language, unique identifiers of the device through which the application is accessed, such as VPN, information of Wi-Fi connectivity and a timestamp for the request; and
- log file information is automatically reported by your browser each time the application is viewed. The server supporting the application logs may include information such as web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, Analytical Code, Geo Stamp, browser type, browser language, referring/exit pages and Universal Resource Locators (“URL”), platform type, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular page, the date and time of the request (“Log File Information”). Such Log File Information collected is not associated with any Personal Information and is only tagged to the unique identifier for a particular device.
LIABILITY
Centillion shall in no manner be liable for any violation under this Privacy Policy, if the Information,
- is already available in public domain; or
- is provided to Centillion by way of any illegal and unlawful means; or
- is provided by any person who is incompetent under Section 11 of Indian Contract Act, 1872.
USE OF COOKIES
Centillion’s Platform may use “cookies” to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer.
EMAIL COMMUNICATION
1. From time to time, Centillion may contact you via email to provide announcements, promotional offers, alerts, confirmations, surveys, and/or other general communication. To improve our products and/or services, we may receive a notification when you open an email from us or click on a link therein provided.
2. If you would like to stop receiving marketing or promotional communications via email from Centillion, you may opt-out of such communications by clicking on the ‘UNSUBSCRIBE’ button.
EXTERNAL DATA STORAGE SITES
We may store your data on servers provided by third-party hosting vendors that we have contracted with.
CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
1. Centillion reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy from time to time as may be required under law.
2. We will notify you about significant changes in how we treat Personal Information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account, placing a prominent notice on our site, and/or by updating any privacy information on this page. Your continued use of the site and/or services available through this site after such modifications will constitute your:

GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL
Raising a Complaint: All grievances by you should be addressed in writing to us at [email protected]. Alternatively, you may give a call at 916304411671 during the business hours between 10.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. between Monday through Friday (except national holidays, public holidays and government declared holidays). Your complaint or query shall be replied to within 48 (forty-eight) business hours of its receipt. Any follow-up question shall also be answered within 48 (forty-eight) business hours of its receipt. Our team will then work to resolve the complaint and take appropriate action required for such resolution.
